Check-In / Check-Out
Check-in time is between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Please let us know if you will be arriving after 7 p.m. so self check-in arrangements can be made. Check-out is 11 a.m.
A deposit equal to one night, or 50% of your stay, whichever is greater, is required to secure your reservation. MasterCard, Visa, and Discover are accepted for deposits. The deposit will be charged to your credit card at the time the reservation is made. Maine State lodging tax will be added to each stay.
The Tipsy Butler is deeply impacted by cancellations. Any changes to a reservation need to be made 14 days in advance of the first night of the reservation. If a reservation is canceled with 14 days notice, the deposit will be refunded.
If the reservation is canceled with less than 14 days notice, the guest will be charged for all nights of the reservation. Unless changes are made to your reservation 14 days in advance of the first night of the reservation, a late arrival (after the first date specified) or an early departure (prior to the end of a reservation) is handled as a cancellation, and you will be charged for the nights specified in your reservation.
Children are welcome at the Tipsy Butler; we have two of our own! If you are traveling with children, please be sure to reserve our Hudson room which has an attached second bedroom with a twin daybed and trundle for $50 per night. We also have a pack and play available for extra small guests.
We love pets and have some of our own which is why we can not also accommodate yours. Ours will be kept out of common areas unless all guests are comfortable with a visit from Daisy, our inn dog or Clemmie and Tiger, our cats. The chickens will always be in the coop but love visits and fruit/veggie scraps.
No smoking is permitted on the Tipsy Butler property. This includes cigars, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and marijuana. This includes outdoor public spaces including: parking lot, the lawn, outdoor decks and porches.
If you smoke in your guest room, your credit card will be assessed a $300 cleaning fee to cover the cost of deep cleaning. Additionally, if it is determined that the room can not be rented to another guest you will also be charged for all nights that the room is out of service.
