The Tipsy Butler is a recently-renovated bed and breakfast nestled in the heart of the twin villages of Newcastle and Damariscotta, Maine. We have taken great care to ensure that each of our four rooms is comfortable, inviting, and filled with little joys to rejuvenate you after a day of exploring our beautiful community. Start your morning with a delicious home-cooked breakfast made with locally sourced ingredients. Enjoy a beverage on our porch, relax with a book in the field, learn a new board game or take a stroll downtown and enjoy the sights and shops.

Meet Your Hosts
Jesse and Stephanie Cheney purchased The Tipsy Butler in February 2022 and are running the bed and breakfast with our two children, Hannah, and Sawyer, dog, Daisy, three kitties, and a flock of chickens.
After growing up in Maine, we left the state, living and working in New Hampshire and Boston for 12 years before returning home to raise our family. Running a B&B was always going to be a retirement project but if COVID has taught us anything it is that time is precious so when the opportunity to buy The Tipsy Butler came up, we said, “let’s go for it!”
We have years of experience in hospitality, food service, education, event planning, construction, healthcare, yoga, and gardening. Sharing The Tipsy Butler with guests from near and far is really a dream come true! We look forward to your visit.
